On Wednesday 3rd June a group of 36 French students with four of their teachers visited the High Arcal School. The visit was the result of an exchange that was started at the end of last year. Mr Howell's year 9 French group had exchanged letters and videos and the trip was very much anticipated.
Students arrived at 10 o' clock and spent time with our year 7 answering questions and comparing cultural aspects between the two countries. The Year 9 class provided them with a tour of the school and at lunchtime the French group experienced the High Arcal School canteen to great delight.
The afternoon was spent on the school field with a 'games' exchange. We learnt and played handball and in return we showed them rounders.
We hope this trip is only the start of a long lasting exchange with the French school and we look forward to experiencing some French hospitality in the future
